The Study Abroad Medical Program for Global Health Leaders offers students a transformative international experience to build leadership skills, gain global perspective, and address critical health challenges through hands-on, community-based learning. Students participate in remote medical and cultural training, before traveling to the Dominican Republic to work in a mobile health clinic.

Study Abroad Medical Internship + Research

A combined clinical and academic global health experience for students seeking deeper scholarly engagement. Participants complete the full Study Abroad Medical Internship while also developing and contributing to a guided medical or public health research project, strengthening both clinical exposure and research credentials for future medical, public health, or graduate training. Receive mentoring with Harvard affiliated medical doctors experienced in medical and public health research.

Remote Internship Program

The Remote Research Program is a flexible, online experience that connects students with faculty-led research projects. Participants work with Harvard affiliated Medical Doctors experienced in medical and public health research to develop research questions, analyze data, and prepare academic deliverables, gaining rigorous research experience without international travel.

1:1 Medical Research Program

A highly personalized research experience designed for students seeking individualized guidance and advanced academic development. Participants work one-on-one with a Harvard Affiliated Medical Doctor who is experienced in medical or public health researcher to design, execute, and refine a research project aligned with their academic goals, creating a strong foundation for competitive medical, graduate, or public health applications.
